Ministerial Event

On Friday 8th December, 2017, our Residential General Manager, Elysa Anderson along with the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Lily D’Ambrosio, officially launched the search for the family for Mirvac’s House With No Bills initiative.

The House with No Bills concept began around 12 months ago – announcing to the industry and everyday Australians that we intended to build a house that would strive to achieve zero energy bills.

With construction at Jack Road, Cheltenham close to completion, Mirvac were delighted to announce we were kicking off our search to find the perfect family to become our sustainability pioneers and live in the House with No Bills for 12 months, participating in our study on energy consumption, habits and the home’s performance.

With our partners CSIRO and Schnieder on hand to demonstrate how their systems and technology work, attendees toured the home to learn how the innovative products installed within the home will reduce the homes reliance on grid energy.

Families were urged to visit the House with No Bills website to learn more about the criteria and apply before January 31st, 2018. And the search begun…
